Group features
Although I was not subscribed, I did visit a few groups and they did not seem to have any content or activity, so it did not seem necessary to subscribe. Was I wrong: only after subscribing I got access to the group forum! It appeared that none of the forum topics where marked "Public".
It is important to teach everyone to always look at the "Groups Audience" toggle boxes in everything you create. By default, "Public" should be toggled on and also at least one group.
There is an admin configuration setting that specifies that at least one group must be toggled. I would like that, there is no reason to create content outside of a group.
I liked the old dashboard look of groups, that showed boxes with the most recent changes. Ok it did not really layout nice, but that was the page I checked often; with RSS too.
I also miss the forum and other Group features in Projects. I know you are afraid to touch the OG settings to avoid bugs, but it appeared to work just nice (although it only only worked good for projects that were created AFTER the setting was changed).
I don't understand how the "Hive Navigation" category works. It is a free tagging category, I have no idea what I am supposed to enter in that box. Help?

"Free tagging" means exactly that. Users can make up categories when they need them.

Free tagging
Yes, but I have seen there are existing categories, they are even hierarchical, and I would like to pick one of those instead of creating a new category. There is a small circle in the field so I thought I could click on it and get a selection list, but that was not the case.
