Hi,
I believe this is a known issue with windows 2008, which doesn't support something regarding java. I can't recall what is was, but in the Progress availability guide for openedge 10 they mention this:
Progress Explorer fails to start on the windows 2008 server platform. If you want to run Progress Explorer you need to run it on a different operation system like XP, Vista or 2003.

Progress Explorer is not supported on Windows 2008. You should run Openedge Explorer instead, which runs fine.

and i try this
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Java VM]
“EnableLogging”=hex:00,00,00,00
“EnableJIT”=hex:00,00,00,00
[HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Microsoft\Java VM]
“EnableLogging”=hex:00,00,00,00
“EnableJIT”=hex:00,00,00,00
.
but , the error is yet same.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
But at least the version 10.2B progress explorer tool was replaced by a web console.
Where there are more tools for managing databases.
I think that version has the same 10.1C.
