How to multi thread in Progress on Unix
The Progress AVM is inherently single-threaded. Your only option is to spawn a separate session, possibly using socket communication to coordinate them, or to use async AppServer calls.
samirshah,
I have started work on an IPC project for The Progress Standard Libraries

If you or anyone else would like to get involved etc. please contact me privately.
Oh, and add your vote for http://www.oehive.org/MultiThread to your Progress sales rep.
