Hive group

tricky admin tip: user can't edit own node

Tricky!

If a node's "Input Format" gets set to something like full HTML or PHP, but the node's owner does not have permission to use that format, then the node owner can't edit their own node! The administrator has to change the node's input format back to something that the user/node-owner has permission to use.

I couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to edit a few of my ProRefactor pages. It's because I created those pages using Rich Text, which my normal user "john" account no longer has access to.

Organic Groups

Jurjen: Let's not change any of these...? Figuring out where all the Groups problems were coming from was very difficult.

- Workflow doesn't seem to work with Groups - had to disable the workflow for Groups for a user to be able to access a group they created.

- I have not set Groups to be automatically attached to Project or any other node types. The Project module and the Organic Groups modules are separate modules, and I'm concerned that they don't play perfectly well together.

- I have not enabled "Access Control" in the Organic Groups module.

Groups

I've set up "Extended Tracker". Now when you click "recent posts", you can see there's a tab for your own posts... that way if you create something, you can find it again. :)

I've re-enabled OG, OG Forum, and OG2List. I created a couple of groups, including "hive". It doesn't seem to have re-attached the old "hive" forum, but instead created a new one.

We could always find the node for the old forum, and add a link somewhere, if we wanted to reference that old stuff.

Hopefully this mailing list works. These OG modules seem awful brittle. I don't think we'll want to fiddle with their administration much more. I hope they are more solid in future releases.
